Abstract

The article aims to outline the profile of effective administrative technicians at UFSJ, with attention to the differences between men and women, with an emphasis on over-education and job satisfaction. The methodology used is Case Study and Content Analysis, based on the application of questionnaires combined with the Documentary Analysis of the Career Plan for Technical-Administrative Positions in Education at UFSJ and Descriptive Statistics. The results show that 93.3% of respondents are over-educated (62% are women). Among the techniques, 58% are over-educated and, among men, the relative weight is lower (36%), confirming the discussion in the literature that women are more prone to the status of over-educated. In addition, 80% of these women dissatisfied with the activities performed, in comparison with the salary income, are in the condition of being over-educated, confirming the inverse relationship foreseen in the literature between the status of over-educated and the level of job satisfaction in UFSJ
