Abstract

The Brazilian Labour Reform was approved based on the argument that the brazilian labour laws needed to be modernized, since these set of laws were proposed for the first time during the 1940’s. However, the analisis of the changes in the law suggests that its main goals are the increase in the flexibilization of the labour relations, looking to achive the costs reduction and the facilities to hire and fire workers, and then the increasing in the vulnerability and instability of the labour force. From that discussion, the main propose of this paper is to analyze two forms of hiring – the outsourced contracts and the intermittent contracts – to observe the effects of the 2017’s Brazilian Labour Reform during the years 2018 and 2019. The analisis are based on the data provided by the Relação Anual de Informações Sociais and the Cadastro Geral de Empregados e Desempregados, which will be analyzed following the methodology esqueme proposed by Duarte and Loural (2020).
