Abstract

Professor Ednalva Maciel Neves, Ed for many of us, is one of the giant women who built and continues to build history in the Anthropology of the Postgraduate Program in Anthropology at UFPB and many other spaces, as she will tell you with her simplicity. Motivated by Ednalva's colleague and friend, professor Dr. Flávia Pires, this interview was conducted by two doctoral students and one post-doctoral trainee. It was designed based on a script with the intention of contemplating the highlights of a career dedicated to research and teaching, as well as stories inherent to the journey. Indirectly, this publication also constitutes a tribute to every master who makes a difference in the professional and personal trajectory of those who seek to see reality from a critical and propositional perspective.
