Abstract

This study arose from the need to deepen reflections on how teacher training can contribute to overcoming the difficulties experienced by students at Ifal, Campus Marechal Deodoro, when carrying out research in virtual sources. This is qualitative research, with an exploratory and descriptive purpose, guided by the principles of historical-dialectical materialism. As for the method, action research was developed. After the exploratory research, there was the construction and application of the Didactic Sequence “Training Teachers for the Use of the WebQuest Tool in Professional and Technological Education”. In the exploratory phase, students and professors from the research locus participated in the research. With regard to the application of the Didactic Sequence, there was the participation of teachers from the Technical Courses of Integrated Middle Level in Environment and Tourism Guide, Ifal, Campus Marechal Deodoro. Data analysis followed the path of hermeneutic-dialectical thinking. The results demonstrate that the WebQuest tool favors the inseparability of teaching and research, as long as the methodological construction allows students and educators to act as producers of knowledge, it requires investment in teacher training, as well as a guarantee of time so that teachers can act as researchers.
