Abstract

This research aimed to identify how spirituality is present in the organizational culture of the College “Faculdade Imaculada Conceição do Recife (FICR)” according to Regoʼs, Cunhaʼs and Soutoʼs (2005) model. A qualitative and descriptive research was carried out, case study pattern, and it was analyzed the primary and secondary data of the institution. From the data analyzed, it was possible to identify and prove that the researched organization not only intends to practice spirituality in its work environment, but also has the dimensions of spirituality as a characteristic inherent to its organizational culture and intrinsic to its daily practices and processes. This feature is noted by the managers and employees of the institution. In this way the individual and corporate elements of spirituality can be noted in the organizational culture of FICR. As for employees, the perception of spirituality in the workplace coincides with the view of managers and it is convergent with the organizational culture recorded and practiced by both of them. Thus, it can be identified that both managers and collaborators seek, collaboratively and with the same interest, to practice the dimensions of spirituality illustrated by Rego, Cunha and Souto, (2007).
