Abstract

The questions that nurture the composition of the present text revisit the psychology of education addressing the inherent characters to build foundations for learning. As an investigative exercise, it was ventured the content elucidated in the discipline of Psychology of Education during graduation at Federal University of Paraiba, which is presented in this article. Firstly, Revisiting the Psychology of Education will discuss the origin, history and philosophical principle of this science in the light of Foucault. Then, in the section Psychology of Learning will be conceptualized learning, pointing out the historical roots, philosophical influence, and psychological theoretical concepts for education. In the third section, Discussing Adolescence characterizes adolescence according to World Health Organization (WHO) and Statute of the Child and Adolescent, in addition to anatomical features and limitations of adolescence. Finally, entitling Libertarian Education is succinctly presented the appearance, historical background on the subject beyond the influence of the capitalist system in education.
