When referring to vertical dimensions of occlusion, it was observed that 47% had normal VDO, 45% a diminished one, and 8% augmented. As for facet wear, it was verified at 22% with bruxism, 18% constriction, 47% functional wear, bruxism and constriction 11% and constriction and bruxism with functional wear 2%. The main complaint was about the incidence of pre-auricular pain, with 49%. It was also noted that the socio-economic level may be related to the appearance of para-functional habits and TMD.
