Use of Self-etching Adhesive System in Pediatric Dentistry Case
Abstract
SUMMARY An effective and permanent mechanical adhesion of the restorative material in dental tissues prevents penetration of bacteria and oral fluid, minimizing the risk of secondary caries and marginal leakage. For that to occur, it is essential to control dental humidity, considered a heterogeneous and dynamic substratum. From that perspective, 5th generation adhesive restorative systems were developed, whose action mechanism happens simultaneously for dentin demineralization to infiltration of adhesive monomers, which stays and polymerizes. Based on the exposed, this article has the purpose of approaching, by means of a case report, the use of self-etching adhesive system One-up Bond F® as an option of bonding agent in the confection of direct restoration in composite resin in Pediatric Dentistry.
