PATIENTS WITH SISTEMIC ILLNESSES AUTO-IMMUNY/DERMATOLOGYCS - INCIDENCE OF THE BUCCAL MANIFESTATIONS AND REVISION OF LITERATURE
Abstract
Auto-immune systemic illnesses with dermatological origin, are caused by an improper production of auto-antibodies for the patient, and, dependes of its small farms of attack, generates distinct illnesses. Amongst the known illnesses, they are distinguished pemphigus and pemphigoid, lúpus erythematosus, lichen planus and erythema multiforme. Revision of the literature of dermatological auto immune illnesses and evaluated it incidence of the main buccal manifestations of these in patients of the Clinic of Dermatology of the Hospital Lauro Wanderley and the Clinic of Semiologia Odontológica of the Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB). In the period of eleven months, 22 patients had been examined, of which, 10 presented lupus erythematosus, 05 pemphigus vulgaris, 03 erythema multiforme, 01 cicatricial pemphigoid, 01 foliaceus pemphigus and 01 lichen planus. Of these, 60% haved buccal manifestations in form of ulcers or bubbles.It is concluded that exists, a considerable prevalence of auto-immune dermatological illnessesand that the morbidity degree same them is changeable.Downloads
