[ID 50487] PRECEPTORIA EM ENFERMAGEM NA ESTRATÉGIA SAÚDE DA FAMÍLIA: PERCEPÇÃO DOS ENFERMEIROS

Abstract

The aim was to identify, from the preceptor nurses' perspective, challenges and potentialities of the preceptorship exercise at Family Health Strategy. The chosen method is an exploratory descriptive research under qualitative approach. The data was collected through focal group with preceptor nurse. In order to analyze this data, the focal group conversations were organized under the thematic content analysis technique. The results highlight potentialities such as knowledge application which allows reflective reasoning at the working environment, preceptors' knowledge update, and possibility of changing practices, on the other hand, some difficulties were shown, work overload due to job functions accumulation, team members' resistance and the absence of process supervision. The preceptorship is a hands-on learning experience which recreates professional qualification and allows health major students to use their knowledge and abilities in a meaningful and real way.
