Resumen

A list of the macrofauna found in a black-water igarapé is presented in this study. This macrofauna includes groups potentially used as food by the fish community, as follows: Annelida (Hirudinea); Arthropoda: Crustacea (Palaemonidae), Chelicerata (Araneae, Opiliones); Insecta (Odonata, Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera, Hemiptera,Coleoptera, Hymenoptera, Diptera, Trichoptera and Lepidoptera). No significant correlation between the number of animals collected and current flow, marginal vegetation, and plant debris were found.
