FLASHES, FLECHAS E RAPTO EM EU RECEBERIA AS PIORES NOTÍCIAS DE SEUS LINDOS LÁBIOS, DE MARÇAL AQUINO
Keywords:
Eroticism, Eros, Psyche, Marçal AquinoAbstract
This study proposes to analyze excerpts from the novel Eu receberia as piores notícias de seus lindos lábios, by Marçal Aquino, following the love story of Cauby and Lavínia, adopting the theoretical foundation of Roland Barthes, in his work Fragmentos de um discurso amoroso (1981). For this purpose, we chose the following figures: the abduction, the encounter, the wait, and the other's body; and then, we selected fragments of the couple's discourse in love, compatible with Barthes' figures. We also sought to mix the story of Eros and Psyche with the romantic discourse of the couple in the novel. For this purpose, we confronted the condition of subject/object of Cauby and Lavínia with the myth of Eros and Psyche to point out that Marçal Aquino establishes an inversion of subject/object, shattering the structure of the traditional myth. This study was based on Barthes (1981, 2015), Bataille (1987), Brandão (2012), Bulfinch (2002), and others.
