Abstract

This article intends amplifying the debate toward labour market’s changes since 1980. Under the aim of the increasing productivity and competitiveness of the enterprises in the context of globalized economy, I analyze during the last years of the XX Century the stiff competition, the companie’s strategies of rationalizing the production and the Brazilian labor market’s flexibilization process. We conclude, as other specializes studies on these theme, that the flexibilization of the labour relations do not generate jobs, on the contrary, labour conditions in general got worse, the unemployment enlarged and it is clear that a re-new social contract between capital and labor is need.
