QUALlFICAÇÃO PROFISSIONAL E REINSERÇÃO NO MERCADO DE TRABALHO DOS EX-BANCÁRIOS

Abstract

Fram the employers' standpoint, the qualification is rhe determinant factor in rhe conquest of a job position. However, this view is not fully shared among a growing body of sociologists another social science academics. For them, the relation between the qualification and markerplace is nor that straight forward. It is also dependent of orher contextual factors, which deserves further analysis. This study presents reflections on qualification, as an asset to successfully get into the job marker, fram a Former Public Employer perspective. This research focuses on the specific population of former public bank employees, who adhered to "Volunrary Resignation Program". Theses programs are irnplernented to minimize the tensions inherent to organization downsizing process, by providing economical benefirs in trade of resignation of the stable public job. The local economical scenarios during adherence to "Volunrary Resignation Program" was clearly recessive, wirhout any new job positions being created.
