Abstract

This article has two purposes. The main one is to analyze rhe inrroducrion of flexibiliry's clauses in rhe ernployment contracrs in Brazilusing rhe Data Sysrern of the Departamento Inrersindical de Estatística e Estudos Sócio-Econômicos (Dieese) for 1998. The second goal is to compare the results we have obtained with rhe Iirerarure of this field and the acmallabor relations rhat have been pur imo practice in rhe Brazilian labor marker, The resulrs show that the collecrive bargaining agreements have incorporared c1ausesof flexibiliry in some of their cornponenrs such as hours and earnings, bur no changes have been observed in c1ausesrelared with differenr kinds of ernploymenr conrracts ( perrnanenr, shorr-rerm erc.).
