Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the collective negotiations between the Metallurgical Trade Union of Catalão (SIMECAT) and the Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Automotores do Brasil Ltda (MMC). The investigation is focused on the comparison between the conditions classified in the collective agreements and the state legislation. There is evidence that the negotiations led by the SIMECAT resulted in an increase in additional rules to the current legislation. Furthermore, it can be observed that employers have lost ground when it regards the adjustment of rules for their own private interests.
