Abstract

The text analyzed the evolution of health conditions and health services access for a specific category of the Brazilian agriculture employees: the permanent and temporary agricultural employees, based on the 1998 and 2003 PNADs micro data, tabulated from special health tables. In a specific approaching, the text deals with the evolution of the regional differences in the population profile concerning to the self-evaluation of the people's health condition, to the restrictions of people's habitual activities, to the main chronic diseases information, to the access and use ofthe health services, to the health and dental plans coverage and to the participation of SUS in the workers' attendance. The quantitative data point out a relatively favorable evolution in the employees' general health condition. The main regional differences refer to the indexes of health and dental plans coverage, and the less attended agricultural employees tive in the North and Northeast regions.
