QUESTIONANDO A PERIODIZAÇÃO "FORDISMO" ~ "NEOFORDISMO", MUDANÇAS TECNOLÓGICAS E REFLEXOS NO MUNDO DO TRABALHO

Abstract

It is discussed a model for periodisation, "Fordismo" - "Neo-Fordism", widely utilized as base for the analysis of the last 100 years. It is reviewed the constructions of these, and other relevant, concepts, following chronology and, also, a theoretical and logical sequence. The findings show that there are several problems with the model, of historical, theoretical and empirical nature. To refer only to the last ones, a considered observation of the concrete reality mak:es clear that it differs from the characterizations presented by the model, either in relation to the past, as well as to what one would already be able to see from this "new period". There are branches that never were "Fordist" and others where the main companies will continue to be. In fact, there exists an intense heterogeneity in production that demands a variety of forms of capital labor relations for its reproduction. The unequal development tends to mak:e the different arrangements to coexist, among them, in a privileged position, those that best synchronize their technical parameters to the social conditions. Now, ifthese doubts are well founded, important consequences follow. Because, it would then be necessary, and urgent, to reconsider conclusions of a great number of works, on a broad set of issues, that are based on the logic of this periodization. Those are theoretical and applied works that, for instance, have beenfeeding voluntary sackings campaigns and the search for productive insertion on the tines of the "Empreendedorista" model.
