THE TI PROFESSIONALS: PROFILE AND THE PERMANENT QUALIFICATION CHALLENGE

Abstract

The Technology sector of Information (TI) for dynamic and new developments that presents, is challenging the social sciences to analyze the nature of the job and its settings. From secondary and primary data, the article presents a profile of TI professionals in Brazil and the main forms of industry hiring. It points out that one of the problems in the sector refers to the professional qualification required for TI workers in the face of constant change and technological innovation. Thus, this article presents the results of research with professionals young graduates of Higher Technology course in Systems Analysis and Development - TADS of a public university in the State of Parana. It shows that it is mostly for single young males, whose entering and remaining in the labor market requires formal technical knowledge, continuous updating processes, self-education, as well as a set of skills and behavioral skills.
