Abstract

From time to time an explanatory vocabulary of reality is renewed, constituting a social discourse on which is the best course, sometimes given as inevitable, for economic and social development. Currently one of the watchwords is innovation. Innovation has become the master key to problems such as environmental sustainability, social development, but mainly for trade competitiveness. It is a movement that has deeper roots in the restructuring process of recent decades, based principally on product differentiation, the reorganization of the work process and the intensive use of science and technology as a competitive engine. In this context, the purpose is the debate on the motion of synergy between science and technology fields - technological convergence - as elements of innovation and challenges for work education.
