Abstract

This study analyzes the working conditions of Education teachers Physics in the Fitness Industry, in the context of the dismantling of social rights and the precariousness of work. Semi-structured interviews were carried out with five teachers working in gyms in Pelotas–RS. Data analysis, using the data analysis method, content, identified three empirical categories: a) employment relationship and informality; b) dissatisfaction with pay and increased working hours; c) the “non-place” in career. The results, similar to other studies, showed informality, lack of employment relationships, low salary and class hourly pay, multiple jobs and absenteeism perspective on the future of the profession. Respondents reported dissatisfaction with the current conditions and expressed a desire to move away from the profession.
