Author Guidelines

                                                  STANDARDS FOR SUBMISSION OF ARTICLES FOR THE SEMIOTIC ACTA AND LINGUISTIC

GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT PRODUCTION

1) Prepare the abstract in a text editor with Times New Roman font, size 11, with the ´word Abstract in bold, single-spaced. The abstract text is the same font size, normal. The abstract must come in two languages: the source language of the author, and in another language chosen from those used for the publication of the magazine (Portuguese, English, French, Spanish, Italian) .

2) The abstract must have a maximum of 1,800 characters (counting the spaces)

3) There should not be in the abstract: paragraphs with indents, spacings or tabs, tables, graphs, images of any kind or photos. If necessary, describe mathematical or chemical formulas in full.

4) At the end of the abstract, keywords must be inserted (at least three) .

5) ATTENTION: before sending the abstract, we suggest that the authors make a grammatical, orthographic, typing, formatting, content and research data. Corrections to the abstract will not be accepted after submission. The texts will be published exactly as they are sent. All authors must be aware of the rules, the content of the abstract and agree to have their name inserted in the same.

The editorial team of Acta Semiótica et Lingvistica reserves the right to submit the text to plagiarism detection software. The text must have a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 pages. It must be typed in Word for Windows, A4 format, 3 cm in the four margins, Times New Roman font, size 12, leading by 1.5, indented by 1.25 in the first line of the paragraph and justified alignment. they must come in two languages: in the original language in which it was written and in English.

They will be typed in CAPITAL LETTERS, The author's name must be on the RIGHT, in lower case and the last name in upper case, without bold, font size 10. Right below, the Institution or Program to which the author is linked. For example:

Citations inside the text must be typed in quotation marks, in Times New Roman font, size 12, without italics, underline or underline. At the end of the quote, the author's surname, year and pages of publication should be included in parentheses. Example:

(BATISTA, 2001, p.152).

Quotes with more than three lines should be highlighted in a special paragraph, with 4 cm indentation on the left, in single space, before 8 pt, then 8 pt, with Times New Roman font size 10, without indentation in the first line. For example:

All citations must be listed at the end of the text, in the Bibliographic References section (in Times New Roman font, size 12), in order of the author's last name. Repeated author must follow the most updated ABNT rules. Example:

Particular attention should be paid to the citation of webgraphy. This should come in an item called other sources. The date of the consultation must be inserted. Avoid an excessive amount of footnotes (on the same page).

ILLUSTRATIONS AND DRAWINGS. They must be indicated in the text, but sent as numbered attachments, in Arial font size 10, bold, which will indicate them inside the text. They should come in with good graphic resolution:
