Abstract

Thiswork aims to analyze the meaning effects thatround in the discourse about theinclusion of the subject with deficiency at the labour market, joined todisciplinary strategies and bio-power mechanisms. We used the theoreticalprinciples from French Discourse Analysis, according to the dialogue betweenMichel Pêcheux and Michel Foucault to dig the meaning from the discoursepractices, linked to events and memory chains, always focusing on thepower/knowledge relations. Our investigation target is the discourse of the Revista Sentidos, a media productionturned to the inclusion of the person with deficiency. According to thehistoric displacements, we stand out how it was possible to the body withdeficiency to face the effects of the normalization power to become itselfconsidered as productive and inserted in the labour market. However, thediscourse is always linked to control and selection procedures by allowing somestatements be said and other ones be silenced. Then, it is possible to realizethe subject’s ways of subjectivity, even the movement of meaning to deficiencyand to the labour market on that discursive materiality.
