Abstract

This text analysis the questions that involve the recent attempts of the government of Michel Temer to weaken the combat of the slave labour in the country. It presents the policies of cutting budget to the public agencies that are responsible for inspecting work in companies/farms, the suspension of the publication of Slave Labour Dirty List and the issuance of Ordinance 1,129/2017, which intended to modify the concept of contemporary slave labour. The discussion revolves around the offensives to the laws that protect and limit the exploitation of workers and that are being used as exchange currency with the National Congress and entrepreneurs.
