Abstract

Are the practices of social movements in the search for their territorial self-determination and construction of popular sovereignty in tune with tourism? Is it possible to establish a relationship between the (new) tactics of enabling the actions of these movements with the construction of an emancipatory tourist praxis? These are the central questions that permeate this text. The result of a literature review and analysis of recent actions of the Landless Workers Movement – MST, an important representative of social movements in the land (with a strong impact on the city), the work aims to point out clues for a reflection on the construction of an emancipatory tourist praxis linked to healthy eating and the way movements organize themselves from the base to their actions with greater social repercussion.
