Abstract

One of the lines of interpretation of the phenomenon of “bolsonarization of Brazil”, as a more profound and lasting drama than an adverse political situation, considers the hypothesis of the weakening of the “democratic agent”. Accompanying this argument, the present article operates with the concept of “collective agent” in a social and historical perspective, identifying the social classes and groups that, in the democratic transition, converged to a constellation of interests and identities that supported the new regime
