The article proposes to expose the experiences in the exercise of didactic transposition carried out through the Pedagogical Residency Program - PRP, linked to the Sociology subproject – UFPB (RP – Sociology). The didactic transposition process is developed through the teaching-research project entitled “Indigenous peoples in cyberspace”, carried out with the 2nd year high school class at the State School of Elementary and Secondary Education (E.E.E.F.M.) Dr. Otávio Novais , in João Pessoa-PB, in the year 2023. Throughout the project, anthropological and sociological concepts are used, such as “culture” and “cultural relativism”, to discuss the relationship between indigenous peoples in Brazil and cyberspace. The research methodology is qualitative, with data collection through classroom activities and content analysis based on the chosen theoretical framework. During the project, the students carried out research on the culture of Brazilian indigenous peoples and their relationship with digital media. In conclusion, the experience showed the importance of didactic transposition in teaching sociology, making knowledge appropriate, contextualized and comprehensible to students. Furthermore, the project allowed a reflection on the relationship between indigenous peoples and cyberspace in Brazil, promoting a greater appreciation and understanding of cultural diversity in Brazilian society.
