Abstract

In this article the variability of the number of teeth of the pectines is analysed for the Chactidae scorpion Teuthraustes atramentarius Simon, 1878, species described from Quito in Ecuador. After the results that are disposed in tables 1 to 4, we can conclude that T. atramentarius shows a very important sexual difference for this character. Some statistical calculations are added, confirming the preliminary conclusions.
