Abstract

Rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER) in the cytoplasm of A. brasiliana oocytes reveals five typical forms. The different arrangements assumed by the RER cisternae during the oocyte vegetative phase are related to synthesis of a proteic portion that constitutes the yolk granule.
