THE KARUOTYPE OF Monodelphis americana (MARSUPIALIA-DIDELPHIDAE)
Abstract
The karyotype of Monodelphis americana has a 2n=18 and a NA=22 as other known species of Monodelphis. Karyometrics and G-bands showed differences between M. americana and other species of the genus, suggesting that the karyotype uniformity described in Didelphidae may not be so rigid as assumed in the literature.Downloads
