NOTA PRELIMINAR SOBRE OS ROTÍFEROS (ZOOPLANCTON) DO AÇUDE EPITÁCIO PESSOA, BOQUEIRÃO, PARAÍBA.

Resumo

During the month of June 1977 (winter season) a large number of samples of Rotifers (Zooplancton) was collected from the two representative stations (Mirador and Burrica) of the biological conditions of the Epitácio Pessoa reservoir (Boqueirão - PB - Brazil). The samples were picked up by plankton standard net having 50u mesh size, and collected through the horizontal hauls during 5 min. The genus Keratella was found to be more abundant in the two satation of collected fallowed by Filinia, Brachionus, Monostyla and Lecane in the Mirador station while in the other station (Burrica), the presence was in the order of Keratella, Lecane, Monostyla, Filina and Brachionus. Furthermore the occurence of genera Euchlanis, Conochilus and Platyas which was not much significant, was also identified, however a few others could not be identified even after fixations in 4% formol due to alteration in their forms.
