Abstract

The article intends to discuss, based on the dismissal of injured workers at Natura (Cajamar, SP), how the dismantling of a group of workers, in a process of flexibilization of work, is influenced by gender questions: certain characteristics “naturally” considered of women are expected from them in production. Its absence, motivated by an injury, for instance, exclude them, in the actual process of rise of a new workers group, wich is a social consequence of the changes in production with the transition to a post-fordist pattern of production.
