Guidelines for coordinating dossiers

Áltera Journal publishes two thematic dossiers annually, which can be submitted by professionals with a completed doctorate. Regional diversity and internationalization are significant criteria for selecting dossiers, as well as proposals whose organizers are from different regions and countries. Furthermore, all dossiers must contain at least two articles in a foreign language (Spanish or English).

The dossiers consist of approximately 10 articles that must comply with the standards available on the journal's website. Articles may be submitted by invitation from the organization and/or by public call. In both cases, all articles are subject to a peer review process (double-blind review).

The dossier proposal must be sent to the email revistaaltera@gmail.com containing:

  • Title of the dossier.
  • Brief presentation of the organizers.
  • Description of the dossier with up to 1,000 words, including a justification on the relevance and actuality of the topic, the divergences or tensions considered and the possibilities for improvement and/or deepening of the topic.
  • At least 6 article proposals including the author's name, institutional affiliation and an abstract of up to 250 words about the intended manuscript.

Open Space

In addition to the dossiers, the magazine has a space that is continually open to publications with free themes, receiving and publishing articles, visual essays, reviews, interviews and translations in Portuguese, Spanish and English in a continuous flow. All papers must be submitted through the journal's system, following the current spelling standards of the language in which they are written and the standards found in the "Guidelines for Authors" section.
