Study of the implantation of a smoked tilapia fillet agribusiness in Campo Grande-MS

The state of Mato Grosso do Sul, a pioneer in the production of native fish, such as pacu and pintado, has market and demand for freshwater fish. Although the production of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is a relatively new activity in the country, it is considered an activity with great potential in the state, especially when sold in a processed way, such as smoked fillets, increasing the value added of the product. The goal of this work was to evaluate the local development in function of the installation of a smoked fish agribusiness in Campo Grande-MS. Characteristics of the workplace environment, as well as the flowchart and the layout of production,must follow the regulation of ANVISA. Throughout price research, values for equipment and products purchased, and fixed and variable monthly costs for operation of the industry were analyzed. The results show that the entrepreneur may have R$ 12.627,85 ofmonthly income, which isattractivefor new businessman and can stimulate the development of this new industrial sector.
