THE RELATIONSHIP OF KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT WITH ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE FROM THE PERCEPTION OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY STARTUPS ENTREPRENEURS

The speed of technological change is increasing every day. In a short space of time, new technological products and new market demands emerge. In this scenario, there is a high percentage of startups in the information technology area with a high degree of discontinuity, and traditional management practices cannot minimize this mortality. With that in mind, this research aims to analyze the relationship between innovation, corporate entrepreneurship and knowledge management with the organizational performance of Brazilian startups in the information technology area from the perception of their entrepreneurs. The relevance of research in this area is justified by the economic importance, in Brazil, of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) whose survival derives from their ability to innovate and be dynamic in their adaptation to the environment. This research is characterized as a qualitative, descriptive, multiple case study of analysis. The criteria adopted for selecting the units of analysis were accessibility and typicality. Data collection was carried out through the creation of the interview script. In data analysis, content analysis procedures were applied. The research subjects were selected by the criterion of typicality, entrepreneurial subject, and accessibility, ease of access to the sample and selection of elements considered representative by the researcher, it is emphasized that this is a research carried out without interference from the researcher, through observation, registration, analysis and interpretation of the reality of the research subjects, in their natural habitat, pre-selected startup companies. The research results indicate that the constructs innovation, corporate entrepreneurship and knowledge management create value for the customer and have a positive impact on the organization's performance. Innovation generates team integration, corporate entrepreneurship helps employees in the decision-making process and knowledge management is a condition for the organization's sustainability.
