Abstract

This article aims to address the importance of usability and informational behavior as a strategy for improving the transparency portal of UFRN (Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte) and to assess how information is presented on its portal. Thus, within this theme, it can be observed that, even with the legal provisions that regulate the subject, improvements and corrections need to be made within this complex conceptual framework. Given the significance of transparency portals as a way to exercise citizenship, oversee, and contribute to the fight against corruption, it is the duty of organizations to provide necessary information and ensure that it is presented in a user-focused language. As for the methodology, a qualitative research approach will be employed. In terms of means, bibliographic research will be conducted along with an analysis of the UFRN portal. Regarding objectives, a descriptive research approach will be adopted. Consequently, the establishment of criteria to standardize the presentation of information contributes to making users feel more comfortable when seeking this information. Thus, this entire context aligns with a direct and effective approach to strengthen a democratic and participatory state in the fight against corruption.
