Abstract

The article hereby presents a discussion on a theoretical basis about soap-operas, regarding its structure and language. The main objective is to reflect over the fiction productions for TV, taken from three perspectives: the melodramatic imagination, the television culture and the television aesthetic. Availing paperwork from masters such Brooks, Martín-Barbero, Rincón, Fuenzalida, Mittell and Fahle, this assignment intends to present a view over the television production and its spots for a specific culture of audiovisual character, with a peculiar esthetic pattern and a ranging extreme changing in the social space.
