Abstract

The internet and web 2.0 tools provides a participatory and interactive environment, with tools that allow a new relationship between social actors, new forms of organization and coordination, interaction and access to informationon public and social debate. From the example of Web Vote website, which proposes the participation of citizens in matters of national importance through an online platform, this article presents a reflection on the interaction, participation and deliberation on the Internet, through the use of Web 2.0 tools. After the study it can be concluded that the website has limitations and that online tools are not used in its potential. But from the context of citizenship and participation online, you can check the website architecture favors participation, even without civic engagement, and communicative and interactive processes involved in this online platform is a step toward a broader citizen practice.
