Abstract

Human Rights are universal principles that guarantee dignity, freedom, equality, and justice for all people, regardless of their origin, race, gender, color, age, or any other cultural characteristic or condition. These rights encompass broad and interdependent dimensions, such as civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights. Among the most relevant examples are the right to life, freedom of expression, dignified work, quality education, and universal and accessible healthcare. Grounded in international treaties and conventions and protected by national legislation, human rights are universal pillars for promoting peace, justice, and social well-being.

Simultaneously, we live in a context of digital transformation, where digital technologies are integrated into virtually every aspect of life in society. This technological revolution is redefining how individuals, businesses, and governments operate and interact, bringing both challenges and opportunities. On the one hand, digitalization can enhance access to basic rights such as education and healthcare and promote greater transparency in institutional relations, thereby expanding the scope and access to human rights. On the other hand, it demands an in-depth debate on issues such as privacy, digital exclusion, and the need for ethical regulation to prevent technological inequalities.

Another central element for building a fair society is taxation. A fair tax policy not only ensures the redistribution of wealth but also plays an essential role in fostering socioeconomic development and maintaining infrastructure and essential services such as healthcare, education, and security. By promoting a balanced allocation of resources, taxation directly contributes to reducing social inequalities and building a sustainable and inclusive economy.

Thus, the interplay between Human Rights, digital transformations, and tax policies proves crucial in addressing the challenges of the contemporary world. Understanding the intersections between these pillars is essential to charting pathways that ensure social and economic development without compromising the fundamental values of human dignity.
