Abstract

O objetivo desta resenha é revisitar a obra de Alonso de Sandoval Intitulada: Um tratado sobre la esclavitud. Tal obra merece ser revisitada, pois é um dos únicos relatos históricos a respeito da escravidão na América espanhola, tal obra é de grande valia pelos importantes e escassos registros históricos que a mesma fornece. Sandoval cumpre um grande papel ao reconfigurar os discursos que regulavam o tráfico negreiro, bem como a escravidão na América.
