Abstract

This work concerns an experience report on anxieties, uncertainties and methodological changes that occurred in the field of work for the dissertation work on the repercussions of the sickle cell trait in the lives of women of reproductive age in four regions of the state of Paraíba, in view of the changes imposed for the pandemic situation of the new coronavirus. It also reflects on how this whole context provided an opportunity for knowledge of new possibilities in the fieldwork of anthropology through the method of communication mediated by technology, since social isolation interrupted the visit to the field in person.
