Abstract

This paper aimed to analyze power relations in school and marginalization of LGBTQIA+ community. Based on some author’s ideas, like Foucalt (1987) and Louro (2019), we assume that school acts as a heteronormative space, which intend to discipline bodies to behave based on heterosexuality pedagogy that follows heteronormative patterns. Methodolog¬ically, it is qualitative research with data collection through online questionnaires. Results pointed that school territory is still being heterosexist, marginalizing, downgrading, putting on surveillance everyone who escapes and subverts norms. Besides, data also put in evidence that there is a gap that needs to be filled, referring to the absence of gender and sexual diversity discussion both in subjects and in teacher training.
