Abstract

In this review, we present a critical reflection on the lecture given in October 2020 by Profa. Dr. Clarissa Schmidt (UFF), in the context of the SESA ON-LINE Project. In the lecture entitled Scientific object in archivology: reflection for the debate, Schmidt seeks to present a linear organization, albeit simplistically, on the context necessary for archivology to then point out paths, definitions and directions of what should be (within so many other possibilities) the scientific object in the scope of Archivology. Currently, given so many difficulties in research in the context of the Human and Social Sciences, the aforementioned lecture, despite being extremely succinct, is of great importance for us to understand the rigor that permeates the scientific object within any science that intends to be serious.
