Uma defesa contemporânea do argumento ontológico hegeliano

Resumo

Os argumentos ontológicos para a existência de Deus são alguns dos argumentos mais controversos na história da filosofia. Embora o argumento inaugurado por Anselmo de Cantuária tenha tido grandes defensores históricos, como René Descartes, Gottfried Leibniz e Kurt Gödel, também reuniu nomes de peso dentre os objetores, como Tomás de Aquino, David Hume e Immanuel Kant. Nesse artigo, pretendo suprir a carência de atenção aos escritos de G.W.F. Hegel sobre o argumento ontológico. Argumentarei que a formalização hegeliana do argumento ontológico é capaz de superar algumas das objeções clássicas e contemporâneas que são colocadas ao argumento ontológico, possibilitando, assim, o ressurgimento de um forte argumento para a existência de Deus.

Doutorando em Filosofia pelo programa de Pós-graduação em Filosofia da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul - PUCRS. Mestre pelo programa de pós-graduação em Lógica e Metafísica da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Bolsista de doutorado do CNPq. Pesquisas no projeto "LATAM Bridges in The Epistemology of Religion", financiado pela Fundação John Templeton.
