Abstract

Yellow passion fruit has economic and social importance in the Brazilian agricultural sector as well as for tropical fruit Agribusiness. Modern agriculture faces a big challenge,as the best quality of products harvested and lower production costs, new cultivation practices being sought, such as the use of organic inputs that are efficient and are less polluting, can partially replace synthetic fertilizers. In this context, the objective was to evaluate the effects of bovine biofertilizers on growth and production of yellow passion fruit, in Remígio country, Paraíba State, Brazil. The treatments were distributed in a randomized blocks design with four replications and six plants per treatment, using a factorial design 2 × 5, referring to two bovine biofertilizers (common and chemically enriched), diluted in water level percentage of 0.0; 2.5; 5.0; 7.5; 10%, applied biweekly to soil in constant volume of 4 L plant-1. The analyzed variables were stem diameter, time between transplanting and pruning main branch and lateral branches, number of productive branches, number of fruits per plant, production per plant and productivity. There was significant interaction between the biofertilizers and the doses for the evaluated variables, except for the transplanting period the pruning of the main stem. For the caulinar diameter, in addition to the dose × biofertilizer interaction, there was an isolated effect of the age of evaluation. From the results, the biofertilizers promoted the vegetative growth of the plants, but did not stimulate the increase in the yellow passion fruit production components. The dose of 10% of common biofertilizer was responsible for higher production and productivity
