The library automation system OpenBiblio applied to discipline library automation
Abstract
This article presents information on the relationship among automation process, libraries, and information professionals. Describes the key requirements that an automation library system (SAB) must possess at the time of its choice and the main characteristics that should be followed when choosing a system. The SAB presents models based on different paradigms of classification. OpenBiblio has been studied as a teaching tool used in the library automation class. As an instrument of data collection it was used a questionnaire applied to students in the discipline Library Automation in the period 2009.1.
