SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION: a study of final course monographies - Graduation Course in Librarianship/UFPB

Abstract

The scientific production originated from end course´s monographies is one of the means of producing new knowledge in the University and, like other scientific productions, is an important communication channel.This research aims to analyze the students´ end works of the degree course in Library Science of the Federal University of Paraíba in the period from 2000.1 to 2002.2. The analized items were abstracts, titles, subjects and methodologies. For data collection were used a catalog of monographies and a questionnaire. It is concluded that the group of monographies studied form a theoretical body produced by the graduation students what shows that they are being introduced in the many ways of knowledge production.
