Conceptualizes the Open Access movement as an alternative to the crisis of periodicals. It presents the main declarations in favor of the movement, in an international and Portuguese-speaking context. Highlights Creative Commons license to maintain copyright. It discusses the position of Librarianship in relation to Open Access. It is characterized as a bibliographic research with a qualitative approach. It uses elements of content analysis to treat the elaborated documental corpus. It performs a search in the Brapci and LISTA databases, with a cutout for the period 2015-2021. Compares the searches performed in the databases, listing the main identified keywords. It concludes by approaching existing relationships between Librarianship, Open Access and existing possibilities of action in association with the movement, ensuring the relevance of the field in the current scenario.
