GUIDELINES FOR INDEXING AESTHETIC-LITERARY WORKS

A PROPOSAL FOR DOCUMENTARY READING BASED ON BAKHTINIAN LANGUAGE PHILOSOPHY

Abstract

This work aims to propose guidelines that guide the indexing activity for the documentary reading of aesthetic-literary works based on Mikhail Bakhtin's philosophy of language, mainly on the conceptions of discourse genre and dialogism. The guidelines are also based on the structure of two Models applied in the field of Information Science: the Documentary Reading Model for scientific texts by Fujita and Rubi (2006) and the Model for Fiction Indexing by Fujita, Sabbag, Santos, Ribas, Rosas and Degasperi (2017). It brings as a result the Guidelines for indexing aesthetic-literary works that has as a differential the three elements inherent to the genres of discourse that allow a more dialogical reading with the purpose of providing a guide for the librarian to analyze with more acuity and completeness the literary fiction genre.

Sandra Rafaela Batista Silva, Universidade Federal de Pernambuco

PhD student in the Postgraduate Program in Information Science at the Federal University of Pernambuco (PPGCI / UFPE), having as object the Organization of Dialogical Information of aesthetic-literary works, in which based on the philosophy of language of Mikhail Bakhtin seeks to develop the thesis on dialogical indexing and a model of dialogical representation of literary fiction that encompasses cataloging, classification and indexing of fiction books; Master in Information Science (PPGCI/UFPE) introduces his thesis on dialogical indexing and applies the Guidelines for indexing aesthetic-literary works (DIEL) in four literary fiction titles and compares it with the indexing carried out in ten national libraries of Latin American countries, to propose that this concept and tool be used in libraries; and Bachelor of Library Science from UFPE, begins his thinking about dialogical indexing and develops DIEL, applying it to five titles and comparing it with the designation of subjects carried out by the National Library and four Brazilian universities, aiming to assist in the practice of this activity and in the quality of representation by subject; Working mainly on the following topics: Information Organization, Mikhail Bakhtin's philosophy of language and fiction literature.

Hélio Márcio Pajeú, Universidade Federal de Pernambuco

He holds a PhD (2014) and a master's degree (2011) in Linguistics from the Federal University of São Carlos in the research line Language and Discourse. Graduated in Library and Information Science from the Federal University of São Carlos (2008). He is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Information Science of the Federal University of Pernambuco, in the area of Information Services and Culture. He is a member of the Discourse Genres Study Group (GEGe) and leader of the Laboratory of Bakhtinian Investigations Related to Information and Culture (LIBRI-CI/CNPq). He develops research in the area of Linguistic and Information Theory and Analysis, with emphasis on Bakhtinian Studies, Reading, Literature, Authorship and Popular Culture. He is a collaborating professor in the Postgraduate Program in Information Science at the Federal University of Pernambuco. Since July 2020 he has held the position of Director of Culture of the Pro-rectory of Extension and Culture (PROExC) of UFPE.

André Anderson Cavalcante Felipe, Universidade Federal de Pernambuco

PhD in Language Studies from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. Master in Information Science from the Federal University of Paraíba.
