INFORMATION AND KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT: AN ANALYSIS FROM FIVE BIBLIOMETRIC LAWS

Abstract

: In the current context, the management of information and knowledge are essential factors to the competitive differential of the organization, being increasingly necessary to expand the studies of these two terms. The aim of this research is to perform a bibliometric analysis of publications in Brazilian journals with the themes knowledge and information management identifying the application of the five laws of bibliometry. Basic in nature, with exploratory and descriptive typology, the research adopted as a method bibliographic research and bibliometric studies. From the quantitative approach, we selected and analyzed the scientific productions in the area of Information Science, which present in their title and indexed terms, the terms such as: knowledge management, information management and information and knowledge management. The research corpus consisted of articles published until June 2019 in national journals with Qualis- Periodic Stratum A1, A2 and B1 in the area of Information Science. As a result, we presented a descriptive statistical analysis of the 565 articles searched. In addition, the five bibliometric analyzes measured the authors' productivity to delimit the contents of the area, keyword frequencies, article retrieval in electronic scientific journals, and the elite of article-producing authors. It is concluded that with bibliometric analyzes, indicators were built on the dynamics and the evolution of information and knowledge management in 10 national journals of the analyzed area.

Mestre em Administração Pública pela Escola de Governo da Fundação João Pinheiro (2005) e graduado em Administração. Professor do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Sistemas de Informação e Gestão do Conhecimento da Universidade FUMEC.
